Max-Prop & Folding Propeller Maintenance
Max-Prop Maintenance
Simple but vital.
FIRSTLY, The grease in the hub needs to be topped up by injecting through a grease nipple with a standard grease gun, with no need to dismantle the propeller. We recommend Esso Cazar K2 grease.
SECONDLY, The sacrificial anode is there to protect your propeller from electrolytic damage and should be replaced as needed, usually once per season. Each new propeller comes with everything that you need, but Darglow can supply replacement anodes, grease, grease guns and grease nipples by mail order.
Max-Prop ANODES are available in 6 different sizes A63, B70, C83, D100,E125 and F160. If you do not know the size required, measure the distance between the hole centres of your existing anode, and we can arrange to send you the correct one.
