What tip clearance is best for my Featherstream propeller?

There is no concrete rule for propeller tip clearance. Industry rule of thumb would suggest 10-15% tip clearance (% of propeller diameter).

We often run as little as 4-5% tip clearance with no problems. What affects this the most is the hull design.

For example if hull is fine entry around propeller we can get closer but if boat is flat bottom above propeller we may wish to increase.
