The HydroAxe Shaft Drive Scissor Rope Cutter is a scissor type action rope cutter for sailing yachts and motor boats that have a shaft drive installation.

Made In Britain and developed for Shaft Drive applications the HydroAxe Shaft Drive Scissor Rope Cutter will protect propellers from weeds, rope, nets and other debris from fouling the propeller potentially causing expensive damage to your drive train. HydroAxe Rope cutters provide the best protection for your vessel!

The HydroAxe Shaft Drive Scissor Rope Cutters are compatible with low drag propellers and fixed propellers.

No modifications are needed to your propeller no matter what propeller type fitted!

Powerful Scissor Action Cutting Design

The HydroAxe Scissor Action Rope Cutter utilises a fixed stationary blade secured by a mounting block fixed to the bearing housing and a 2 Blade cutter that is secured to the shaft to provide an aggressive scissor type action – scroll down to see a video of this cutter in action!

Fitting the HydroAxe Rope Cutter

Tools required for fitting are Power Drill, 7mm Drill Bit, 5mm Drill Bit, M6 Tapping kit, Clamp (G-Clamp), Scotch Brite/fine sandpaper, 5mm Allen Key and Hammer/mallet.
