Victoria Yachts
The history of the Victoria Yachts all began in 1974 when Chuck Paine designed the first Victoria Yacht, the 30ft Morris Yachts Leigh, or Victoria 30 as she was later known in the UK. By the late 1970s, both the Frances and the Leigh were available in the United States of America.
The designer Chuck Paine said: “I designed Frances for my own use, embodying everything I knew about efficient cruising vessels of GRP construction. She is small enough to handle maintenance easily, can be laid up alongside a wharf for periodic attention, and has the capacity to survive a gale at sea.”

The stunning Victoria Yachts are no longer in production in the UK today. However, there are many second-hand boats you can buy, most of which you can find online or on the Victoria and Frances Yachts Facebook Group.

Victoria 26

The Victoria 26 was designed by Chuck Paine and built specifically for the purpose of blue-water cruising. This highly seaworthy boat has been on some pretty ambitious voyages, proving its capability and strength.
It strikes a balance between affordability and practicality, being small enough for easy handling and mooring while tough enough for long-distance passages. With its elegant design and reputable pedigree, the Victoria 26 stands out as a beautifully fitted and reliable little cruiser.
Victoria 30

The Victoria 30 was first produced in the USA with the original name of Leigh 30. Designed by Chuck Paine in 1979 as a small cruising yacht. Although small, they are much faster than you would think thanks to their modern hull form and long keel added for directional stability.
Victoria 34

Designed by Chuck Paine, the Victoria 34 features a classic, traditional look that caught the eye of the Army, which selected it as one of their adventure training yachts. Produced from 1985 to around 2000, each Victoria 34 was built semi-custom to meet individual preferences.
The design includes a moderately long, shallow fin keel and a robust skeg-hung rudder, providing stability and strength. Constructed to Lloyd’s specifications, these boats boast solid GRP hulls and balsa-cored decks, ensuring durability and reliability at sea.
